PCHS BOYS BASKETBALL

02/20/2010-The PCHS Boy's Basketball team overcame an 18 point deficit at the half to pull within one point of winning against Magna Vista.  The Cougars played in their first second-round district tournament appearance in a few years according to Head Coach Adam Haynes.  Our own Lemont Bryant caught up with Coach Haynes after Saturday afternoon's game at Bassett High School for an exclusive post-game interview.  Click here to listen.  Congratulations to Jalen Reynolds, First Team Selection.

02/11/2010-Varsity Boys lost to Tunstall

01/28/2010-Varsity Boys lost to Bassett.

01/27/2010-Varsity Boys lost to Magna Vista 66-68 in the Cougar Den.  Jalen Reynolds scored 22 points and Jacob Reynolds 12 points.  Click to listen to the Fun Facts Radio post-game exclusive interview with Coach Adam Haynes.

01/19/2010-Varsity boys defeated Tunstall 73-69; Jalen Reynolds scored 34 points, Parker Heath scored 16 and Dylan Nelson scored ten points.  The Cougars will travel to Magna Vista on Wednesday for another district game.

01/13/2010-PCHS Varsity boys hosted Martinsville and lost 52-88.  Jalen Reynolds scored 18 and Pierre Scales 10 points.  PCHS JV also lost to the Bulldogs, 29-72.

01/02/2010-PCHS Varsity lost to Christiansburg in a Floyd County Benefit Tournament 59-62; High Scorers were Jalen Reynolds with 25 points and Parker Heath with 15 points.

12/29/2009-PCHS Varsity Cougars lost 57-58 in the first round of the Reidsville Classic Basketball Tournament against Rockingham County.  Jalen Reynolds and Dylan Nelson each scored 14 points, followed by Parker Heath with 12.

12/22/2009-PCHS Varsity Cougars lost to North Stokes 38-60.

12/14/2009-PCHS Varsity Cougars defeated Chatham.  Jalen Reynolds scored 26 points, Parker Heath had 19 and Jacob Reynolds and Dylan Nelson each scored ten points.  Their record is now 3-2.  The JV boys team also won 47-46, according to Varsity Head Coach Adam Haynes.

12/11/2009- PCHS Varsity lost to Floyd 92-83; Parker Heath led the Cougars with 23 points, Jacob Reynolds scored 20 points, and Jalen Reynolds scored 15.  Coach Adam Haynes said his team led the game until about Floyd took the lead with about 3 1/2 minutes left.  "Our guys just could not recover,"  commented Coach Haynes. 

12/04/2009-PCHS Varsity team lost to Chatham 62-78, according to Coach Adam Haynes.

12/02/2009-Congratulations to the boy's varsity basketball team with their win over Carroll County.  Leading the Cougars were Jacob Reynolds with 13 points and 12 rebounds,  Parker Heath and Colin Dunlap with 12 points and Marcus Wood with 10 rebounds.
